The Gulf of Fethiye

Gocek

One of the most popular charter bases along the Turkish coast, Göcek offers a variety of facilities from souvenir shops, markets and excellent restaurants to comfortable hotels, all within walking distance.
Nestled in the north-western corner of the Gulf of Fethiye, Göcek is an ideal place to start a one-week charter, exploring the many bays and small coves within 2 -3 hours sailing of each other.

Bozuk Büku

Wall Bay

22 Fathom Cove

Kapi Creek

Sarsala bay
Top of pageA large bay with a pretty restaurant and jetty owned by the ever helpful and friendly Ramasan and his family. Sometimes a musician plays traditional Turkish music in the evenings - we call it Raki, which is the name of the local schnapps.
Fethiye
Top of pageA lively town that has managed to preserve its local charm, Fethiye old town has a great fish market and well-stocked fruit & vegetable stalls. In the evenings, buy fresh fish at the market and the local restaurants will cook it for a small fee. After dinner take a stroll to the Bazaar area or simply relax with a drink at one of the many bars.
Other attractions include the Lycian Rock Tombs and the Amphitheatre - both of which are well worth a visit. If you prefer something sporty, paragliding, scuba diving, or white water rafting is also on offer.
Gemiler Island
Top of pageThe Island of Gemiler is famous for its extensive Byzantine ruins. Take the walkway up to the top of the hill to enjoy amazing views. We advise you anchor in the channel, with lines ashore.
Coldwater Bay
Top of pageA fantastic place for a spot of swimming, the name of the bay comes from cold freshwater springs that enter the sea from the bottom of the bay.
Take a hike up the path to enjoy the views from the excellent restaurant, and continue over the hills to the deserted Greek village of Kayakoy.
This anchorage is very busy at the height of the season so be sure to get there early. Ali, the friendly restaurant owner, will probably guide you to your anchor spot.
Olu Deniz
Top of pageOli Deniz boasts a beautiful lagoon, which is now a prohibited area. Yachts may anchor just outside, but it is not recommended as an overnight spot. The beach is big and beautiful but very crowded.
